The Original Plan
My original idea was to cover territory while seeing as much as possible from the seat of my bike and creating a big, satisfying path across Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. I wanted to avoid buses, trains and planes as much as possible but I also needed to account for the scheduling needs of my new bike partner, Simone, who would be leaving me in mid-March to return to Phnom Penh, Cambodia at the Vietnam border.
